I have a bit of a problem with my addiction to candy. I can easily decline any dessert item or ice cream treat offered to me, but candy...well, it's a bit of an obsession.
My current favorite candy item is chocolate covered gummy bears, found at a little fancy candy/ice cream shop near work (very very dangerous, this is). There seems to be an unfounded hatred toward this sweet treat and really, fine by me. I love eating misundersood candy because then I can offer it up without actually having to share.
Some other favorites include Good and Plenty licorice candies and Hot Tamales, especially if they are mixed together in a baggie (one of these, one of those, you get the picture...yes, I have systems for candy consumption). When I was nursing my boys, a quart sized Ziploc bag was a requirement at all times. In fact, all of the first pictures of me with them probably featured the bag in the background. And, I just read that Good and Plenty candy was first produced by the Quaker City Confection Company in Philadelphia in 1893 and is the oldest branded candy in the United States. See, now I feel like a part of history, really.
Now, I gotta go...my blood sugar's getting a bit low.
